Laughter Yoga

Maybe because it’s Labor Day and I’m thinking about all the people I know who are out of work,

Maybe because I had a conversation with an old friend this week whose time in this world is drawing to an end,

Maybe it was seeing at all the funny glyphoids Tem has posted on our Facebook page (and how many of you are responding to them!),

Maybe it was that my dear cat, Zellie, died last week,

Maybe it’s because my face is covered with poison oak and (as Saturn gets ready to cross my 1st house ruler) I’m beginning to wonder if I’ll have permanent scars,

Maybe it’s the jovial one, Jupiter, about to slide back into Pisces (on Thursday),

But, somehow, I thought I found something really great. Maybe I’m the last one to hear about Laughter Yoga but I just read about it in The New Yorker magazine and laughed my head off while reading it. (I know laughing is good for you!) It was started by Dr. Madan Kataria, (“the Guru of Giggling”) a medical doctor from Mumbai, India.

Here’s a link to a video about the New Yorker article.

And, the official Laughter Yoga site (Global Movement for Health, Joy and World Peace)

Have fun everyone, and have a safe holiday and a good week.

  1. Mary, hugs and condolences to you for the loss of Zellie.

Thank you for the Yoga of Laughter links. I could use some of that therapy right now.

    Love, Claudia
